Peer group participants are CFMA general members (general contractors, subcontractors, developers, construction managers, architects, engineers, and principals) who create a tight knit group that meets both virtually and in-person. This provides the opportunity to:
- Learn from your peers and share experiences
- Elevate your strategic thinking
- Discuss actionable takeaways
- Be held accountable
- Ask tough questions
- Help align projects and expectations
- Get honest feedback
- Walk away feeling energized
Each Peer Group is professionally facilitated and will meet regularly via video conference calls. In addition, groups also meet in person once or twice per year.
PEER GROUPS: PROGRAM REGISTRATION
Peer Group participants must be General Members of CFMA in good standing; Associate Members are not eligible.
Groups will have approximately 10 CFMA General Members from geographically diverse, non-competing companies.
Peer groups are created primarily based on revenue size and type of contractor. Other factors, such as ERP, ESOP, etc. may also be considered when adding members to peer groups.
One of the most important factors for a successful peer group is members from companies that do not compete. Since groups with non-competing companies is vital, most peer groups have members from around the country.
All groups are assigned a professional third-party facilitator and will receive agendas prior to each meeting.
Participants must sign and adhere to a confidentiality/non-disclosure/anti-trust agreement in order to ensure that proprietary company information remains strictly confidential and exclusive to group activity.
Peer groups determine how frequently they would like to meet, most peer groups meet monthly via video conferences (might be less frequent based on each group’s needs) and hold one or two in-person meeting for 1.5 days per meeting. For in-person meetings each person is responsible for the cost of transportation, lodging, meals, and incidentals.
The dates/location for the video conferences and in-person meeting(s) will be determined by the consensus of participants and not by CFMA or the facilitator. All meetings are professionally facilitated.
Participants have the flexibility to choose from either 1 or 2 in-person meeting(s) a year. The cost for the April 1st, 2024-March 31st, 2025 CFMA Peer Group Program will be:
- All virtual or 1 in-person meeting groups: $950
- 2 in-person meeting groups: $1,230
The peer group fee includes:
- Agenda development
- Video conferences meeting facilitation
- In-person meeting facilitation and facilitator-related expenses
- Administrative support of the Peer Groups
- Program monitoring and feedback
The cost of travel to, from and during in person peer group meetings is not included in the program fee.
